Devlog for Self Study 4: Game Ideation

Idea 1: Alien Defence Survival

A top down shooter where the player defends their ship from aliens using weapons and tools purchased from around the ship, similar to COD zombies. The player must survive wave after wave of alien attack, repairing vital systems of their ship and scavenging for weapons and materials. The target audience of this game would be enjoyers of RTS and survival type games. I think this game would be successful because it merges popular systems from survival games and RTS games or something. The prototype would focus on gameplay.

Logline: "Defend your ship from metal hungry space freaks with whatever you can find: tools, turrets and nukes"

Idea 2: Haunted Sewer Survivor

A first person horror game where the player is trapped  in a haunted sewer and is chased by ghosts, the player must survive the sewer using sewer magic, and discovering the cause of the sewer ghosts. The target audience of this game would be horror game enthusiasts, and players who enjoy discovering the deep lore of the sewers. I think this game would be successful because horror games with deep lore are very popular. The prototype would focus on the horror atmosphere.

Logline: "Discover where these damn sewer ghosts come from, or become a sewer ghost yourself"
